The set also contains a palette, a paintbrush and a block of twelve postcards to be completed. And the added bonus with this multi-technique kit? A QR code providing access to an online creative class by Julie Thomas in person! Under her guidance, learn how to create a personalised floral greetings card by exploring the versatility of water-soluble media from Caran d’Ache.
In the “Floral greetings card” workshop, Julie introduces you to the use of complementary media and offers you the opportunity to create a floral greetings card with a personalised message. A simplified drawing full of freshness, with delicate movements brought to life by water-soluble colour pencils and fibre-tipped pens including a paintbrush.
"The water-soluble pencils can be used in different ways: dry, diluted or highlighted by fibre-tipped pens. So many ways of reproducing the spontaneity and freshness of nature and flowers that are so special to me."
With a dash of humour and plenty of zip, Julie teaches you the art of floral compositions through the pinky-orange petals and shades of green. She helps you master abstract forms and the use of fibre-tipped pens combined with colour pencils. Glide around the paper, playing with the mixture of tangy colours and transparent effects to which she alone holds the key. So, grab all the drawing equipment you need, get comfortable and enjoy a colourful creative moment!
"Watercolours are an encounter with spontaneity and gentleness; unexpected mixtures, contrasting colours and textures. Nature is perfectly imperfect and varied. This set makes it possible to reflect all these characteristics by using several different media and combining different techniques."

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Julie Thomas is a watercolourist and illustrator who lives in Geneva. After a relatively traditional career in the administrative sector, she became a full-time artist in 2020. Thanks to her fresh and gentle style, she creates evanescent atmospheres, alternating the transparency, flexible forms and stronger lines that can be seen in her illustrations. She draws her inspiration from her travels, in particular when she visits botanical gardens where she happily loses herself among the floral compositions, colourful petals and tangy colours. She also creates patterns for the textiles and interior design industries and hosts numerous workshops for beginners, teaching the basics of watercolour painting. She took her first steps in the world of publishing by illustrating two books for les éditions Forsbach in Germany in 2021 and 2023.
